PLEASE NOTE AS OF 2015 ACME CANINE NO LONGER OFFERS THIS SERVICE
When you have a puppy it is a good idea to start its learning process as early as possible. House training, crate training, socialization, stopping play biting, building confidence, and teaching commands are all things that can help you mold your puppy into the dog you want him to be for the rest of his life. Of course, now that you own a puppy you know that he is full of energy, and can be easily distracted. Teaching obedience commands can be one of the more difficult things to do at a young age. Acme Canine encourages all dog owners to begin formal obedience training as early as 16 weeks. If you are attending our Puppy Pre-School program you are off on the right foot, but why not get a head start on teaching commands? Acme Canine is proud to introduce our new Puppy Headstart program. This program is a continuation of the Puppy Pre-School: Week 4 – Puppy Commands and is aimed to give additional help to new puppy owners with an interest in teaching specific commands.Beginning in January 2011 Puppy Headstart will be a 5 week rotating program. Puppy owners can attend one or all sessions. Each week will focus on one of the following commands: walking politely on leash, leave it, settle, sit, and an introduction to recall. These classes will serve as a bridge between Puppy Pre-School and formal obedience training. Puppies that are between the ages of 12 and 18 weeks can attend these classes, which will be held after our Puppy Pre-School classes. Puppy Pre-School is not a requirement, but all puppy owners are encouraged to enroll in this invaluable class. Clients can attend both Pre-School and Headstart on the same day. Each week one of Acme Canine’s Certified Professional Trainers will assist you in teaching your puppy one of these commands using the equipment you provide – training collars, buckle collars, and even treats can be used during this class.
Acme Canine also offers puppy preschool, private puppy classes at your home for you and your family, breed selection and litter temperament testing. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Beginning training early is the best way to instill good behavior in your puppy, and Acme wants to help. So set your puppy up for success by giving him a head start on training!
